How good is Parsons School of Design? Which area does the school excel? e.g. interior design, fashion, graphic

I'm a Hong Kong student and planning to come to the states for Uni. I would really want to do either advertising design or marketing, or interior design sort of majors.
Do you have any recommendations apart from Parsons?
Im pretty sure I will have enough marks from my IB grade, so academics requirement is not that of a constraint to me.

Please tell me what do you think !

parsons is one of the top design schools in the country. you will need letters of recommendation and a portfolio to get in.

other top schools are rhode island school of design and carnagie mellon.

these design schools are more for creative design — like art schools.

for advertising and marketing you can go to any university.

Should I go back to school for textile design?

Hi, I currently work in product development, I really enjoy using Photoshop and Illustrator to make patterns for our textiles at work. However, I feel limited in what I can do (damask, paisleys,etc). I really enjoy working with designing the prints for our textiles. My question is, I've been out of school for almost a year and half now. I majored in Fashion Design and Marketing in college, but should I go back to school for textile design? If so, what schools offer it? SCAD in Atlanta? Would I go for grad school (I don't feel like I have the technical knowledge of fiber content, etc)

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

problem is the colleges i have found containing fashion course is soooooooooo extenpensive and my mom wants me to study abroad but she wont pay as much as that! Problem is there is no specific courses on fashion in Ireland at all. and i dont get on with my parents, so i just want to get out of here.But i dont know how to go about it?? I feel like ALL my dreams are shattered I would LOVE to do fashion journalism/marketing/styling… But it doesnt seem like its going to happen unless I find a reasonable fee. No one understands how much i want to do it, they just say 'pick something else in ire, but i dont like any of the courses in ire offered''.
Im soooo upset ,what is the point in doing something I dont love? Im finishing school in 2weeks….and will graduate with Leaving certification(points system).
Please some reasurance people!!!!

Which school is better SFSU? or CSUS?

I wanted to know which school would be better for the degree I’m looking for. California State University: Sacramento offers a degree in Family and Consumers B.A. concentration in Apparel Marketing and Design and San Francisco State offers a B.S. in Apparel Design Merchandising. I wanted to know which would better a better school to start a career in Fashion Marketing or which school is more accredited.

I’m going to go with SFSU

Hello !
I’m currently taking Fashion Marketing in school (
9th grade ) & I have found that fashion has been my thing since the 7th grade.. I’m possibly considering having a carrer in fashion..
I want to be a stylist, like Clinton Kelly, from TLC’s What Not To Wear… but I would like some other options. It would be nice if you can give me some!

Oh & I have got the comments that I should be a model when I grow up, I have been considering that too..

Where is the best Fashion School for me to go to?

I have a GPA of 3.2
I have great recomindations, and essay and resume.

where would be the best place for me to go, if i want to major in Merchindise marketing? I basically want to do anything in the fashion industry but i dont want to design.
I would like to go to FIDM but i heard it isnt all that great.

FIT in New York City seems the best in my opinion

Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. is also really good, but this fashion college is in london.

Which school is better for fashion marketing?

You should apply to both. They are the top two fashion schools in the US, and thus are very competitive to get into. Apply to both, see which one lets you in (hopefully both do), and then see who offers you the most aid/the lowest cost, and which you like best.

Two very good quality programs. You really can't go wrong with either one.

I am currently in grade 11 and I need to start thinking about which college/university i would like to go to. Since i live in Canada we already need to start talking to our teachers about what we want to do with our school plan. I really want to get into fashion design school but I’m not quite sure which is the best or most recomended place. I also want to maybe in the future open a store, so i don’t know which is better to take fashion design and marketing or just fashion design.
